Mind Yourself (MY)
Movement Can Open the Door to Wellbeing
Mind Yourself brings yoga, movement and peer leadership into spaces where young people learn and connect. Support local leaders who make wellbeing conversations more accessible in Nigeria.
Donate NowWhy We Do This
Young people need welcoming ways to talk about stress, connection and caring for themselves and others. A shared movement practice can make it easier to begin that conversation. Mind Yourself combines yoga, group exercise, music and dance with peer leadership. It is a community wellbeing program, not a substitute for clinical care.
How Mind Yourself Works
Mind Yourself worked with young Mental Health Captains at the University of Lagos and the University of Abuja, connecting the program to two major universities in two major Nigerian cities. The captains coordinated peer leaders who brought movement and practical wellbeing conversations to fellow students and secondary school communities. Young people helped shape the spaces they took part in.

Leadership Pathway
From Mind Yourself Participant to DSA Leader
Castel Dombin joined Mind Yourself while studying at the University of Abuja. She later served as a Mental Health Captain, helping facilitate wellbeing activities and support other young leaders. Her responsibilities expanded into program and finance work; today she is Dream Sports Africa's Finance & Administration Manager. Her journey shows one way participation can grow into leadership and paid work.
